With such a demand from collectors all around the world including a huge percentage of clients living in the States, custom made art pieces such as war shirts, dresses, headdresses, beaded pouches, pipe bags, etc., are a particular area that we focus on.
We now advertise prices in USD $. This will provide our American collectors with very competitive prices and our European and world wide customers - prices very comparable with US prices. From now on our European customers will also benefit from the USD $ prices.
Sharon is very proud of her Native American roots and Cherokee heritage. She has traced her Cherokee ancestry back to her Great Grandfather who was a full-blood. She hopes to be enrolled with the Cherokee Nation - once she has researched the missing part of her family tree.
When making a piece for a client, we utilise authentic and traditional materials combined with complete love and care. Each piece is hand sewn with using glass beads, smoked or brain tanned skins, traditional designs, earth pigment paints, and fringes are all cut by hand. When possible we use old seed beads from the 1800's and early 1900's. Love and energy to protect and honor is incorporated into each creation. We take extreme care when replicating a piece by researching it in books, old photographs and paintings, etc. Sharon also leans heavily on stories and experiences she has been told while living with Native Americans in Arizona, Wyoming, Texas and Alaska.
Whether it is a headdress, war shirt, leggings, pipe bag, possible bag, beaded saddle blankets, etc., we painstakingly age each piece to provide and authentic old appearance as though it was originally from the 1800's. Our intent is to offer custom made pieces that will produce heirlooms for generations to come.
